Welcome from Prof. Anthony Zwi

Welcome! Development Studies @ UNSW is designed to introduce the Development Studies team at UNSW to potential students and research collaborators and partners. It also seeks to play a role in linking current students and staff - facilitating interaction, collaboration, sharing and learning. We hope you find this site a valuable and useful tool for keeping informed, up-to-date with activities and projects, and as a venue for exchanging ideas and information about development. We encourage everyone to engage with each other and with the site, to make it useful for all.

This site has been launched to help those outside UNSW to get to know about us and our teams and activities, and those within and linked with UNSW to work together collaboratively and share with one another. We welcome all comments, feedback and discussions (see Feedback I Contact Us I Discussions) - please use the discussion forum to engage with students and staff, or post a blog of interest.

To view Development Studies staff members and our broader support team click on Our People.

For a range of current opportunities, to learn more about relevant themes, and for a listing of current PhD students, their supervisors and topics, please click on Research Areas. This section of the website identifies key Development Studies themes, and links the related staff, projects and PhD topics to each theme.

For our Development Studies Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs click on Teaching and you will learn more about our courses - how to apply, what they cover, and how we are developing up our programs.

Wherever possible we will also use this site to link you to the appropriate parts of the UNSW, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, School of Social Sciences, and other sites of relevance.

Welcome to the site.  We hope you find it useful.
